Lydia Marks has graced many stages throughout New York, Las Vegas and Pennsylvania. Lydia Marks is an audience favorite when it comes to warmth, and pure musical entertainment in vocal jazz.

Hailing from the Great Lake's Region of Pennsylvania, Lydia Marks learned all about Broadway melodies and classic jazz standards from her mother's musical gifts and influences. When Lydia was just an adolescent, her mother would play the piano and sing songs from the great torch singers: Julie London, Lena Horn, Helen Forrest, Eydie Gorme, Judy Garland, and Frank Sinatra.

While studying in New York City Lydia became inspired by listening to; Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Louis Armstrong, and Sarah Vaughn, and started gigging with local musician's there.

Lydia Marks' Jazz Quartet performed at popular clubs such as the Red Blazer Jazz Club, and Tavern on the Green.  Lydia Marks made a special appearance at the Gracie Mansion singing with (Oscar Peterson), and sang at the Apollo Theater with (James Ingram), and worked as a featured singer in (Lisa Lampanelli's) "Queen of Mean" show at Caroline's On Broadway.

While living in New York Lydia continued singing in clubs and later toured with Holland American Lines working as a featured singer, and then moved to Las Vegas where she received nationally acclaimed stage reviews in Variety News a long side some of the best artists in the business.

In Las Vegas Lydia Marks sang with the late great trombonist (Carl Fontana) and his Dixieland Jazz Band at the Bourbon Street Cafe, and then performed as an opening act for (Jerry Seinfeld) and (Rosanne Barr) at Bally's Catch A Rising Star Club.

The versatile Lydia Marks performed with legendary artists: (Bill Cosby, Tom Jones, Engleburt Humperdink, Wayne Newton and Rita Rudner) as an opening act, featured singer, back up vocalist, and side-kick for popular pianist-entertainer (Glenn Smith) of Toronto, Ontario, in the main showrooms at the:  Sands, Tropicana, and Las Vegas Hilton.

Lydia Marks performed with comedian (Sandy Hackett), son of the late Buddy Hackett at many of Las Vegas' hottest night clubs, and performed as featured vocalist with pianist entertainer (Mickey Finn) at The Main Street Station.

Known for her exceptional ability to perform at a last minutes notice, Lydia Marks was called to substitute for (Ruth Buzzi’s) lead role in "The Musical Sagebrush" at the Gold River Resort in Laughlin, Nevada where she worked opposite (Hoyt Axton). Lydia Marks also performed as a Singer in "Zippy Do Review," "Hollywood Serenade," "The Carme Show," and "The Naughty Ladies” at Arizona Charlie's.

In the Buffalo-Niagara Region Lydia Marks performs during the summer with her quartet at the popular Historic Lewiston Jazz Festival, which features some of the finest Jazz artists from around the world.

Lydia Marks lit up the main stage at the prestigious Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater in her one woman show titled "Broadway Song & Jazz" featuring  the "Village All Star Quartet” with saxophonist, Bruce Johnstone (Maynard Ferguson) John Bacon,  drums (Don Menza), Harry Jacobson, bass, Chuck Berlin, piano, and Don Rebic, piano (Anne Hampton Callaway).

Lydia Marks performed with (Jazz Inc.) at the Chautauqua Center for Visual Arts, Chauatuqua Lake Idol, and with the (Ray Pappalardo Big Band) at Bemus Bay.

Lydia Marks’ debut jazz CD titled “Lovelight Shining” features an original composition for  bossa nova co-written with bassist Harry Jacobson. The work also features fresh arrangements of standards with Latin rhythms, bossa’s, swing, and torchy ballads that melt your heart, and also showcases unique solos from Don Rebic, piano, Bruce Johnstone, sax/flute, John Bacon, drums, and Eric Pearson, acoustic guitar, and Harry Jacobson, bass.

Lydia Marks performed in “TORCH” a musical journey of torch songs with vocalist Barbara Jean produced by (Scott McClelland) at Safenet's Neighborhood Partnership Center sponsored by The National Endowment for the Arts and the Arts Council of Erie, Pennsylvania. 

Around Town: Billy’s Blues & Jazz Club, Erie Ale House, Brewerie, Pepsi Cola Amphitheater, Latino’s, Erie Blues & Arts Festival and Jazz Erie’s Jazz & Blues Walk.

Lydia Marks performed as a guest artist teacher for the Pennsylvania Arts in Education Program. Residencies include a performance of The Great Gatsby's Jazz Era Show at the Blasco Auditorium for THE BIG READ a program sponsored by The National Endowment of The Arts.
